Report of the Postsecondary and Workforce Science Readiness P-16 Working Group, 8/08This report starts with broad recommendations to improve the Minnesota science standards. This is followed by reviews of international, national and state standards, national reports on K-12 and post-secondary expectations and the administrative and instructional experience of members. The information from the reviews as well as the experience of the Science Readiness Working Group are the underpinnings of the recommendations. The group also realized that improving Minnesota’s science standards impacts other parts of the educational system.  The implications of the proposed science standards improvements are addressed in the final section of this report.
